Description  
This medium provides all of the nutritional requirements of Escherichia coli under the following growth conditions: 
After introducing plasmid DNA into competent cells in particular by electroporation. Bacteria are recovered in low-salt LB broth to promote cell recovery and plasmid replication.  
For growth of bacterial strains that are sensitive to high salt concentrations. 
When expressing recombinant proteins in Escherichia coli. 
To facilitate phage adsorption and infection into Escherichia coli since some phages are sensitive to ionic strength.
